Loyal fans of the pop star are calling for that a person who leaped a barricade and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of attendees had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a dual version of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the surprising bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and received a dozen Academy Award nods, securing two for best costume and set decoration.
