English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

The Football Star

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
