Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
